Hedy Lamarr – Genius

Here’s a really bizarre story. Hedy Lamarr, the actress probably most famous for her role in Samson & Delilah or as the being in first mainstream nude scene in a movie, apparently cameup with the idea behind frequency hopping which is an integral part of how your fancy, new bluetooth mobile phone works. I know it sounds a bit techical or geeky but it’s an amazing piece of engineering especially since she patented it in 1942! This story really has blown me away.
