Case Mods are like busses
No case mods for a few weeks then a flourish all of a sudden. I couldn’t help but laugh when I saw the genius that is the Toilet PC. This guy’s been plugging away for years at this now – the Toilet PC is almost 3 years old now – he’s also done a guitar PC, a BBQPC, a CyberPumpkin and one which has a built-in tissue and lotion dispenser – any idea what that would be used for?
Ghetto Blaster Case Mod
As Case mods go, this Ghetto Blaster mod is sweeeeet. Shame the photos aren’t too clear but the screen is superb. It looks like a tablet pc so the screen will be touch-sensitive meaning the entire unit is self-contained. Lovely!

Death match: Preachers versus showtunes
I can’t stand people preaching at me… it doesn’t matter what they are preaching about or whether I agree or not – that’s not the point. However, when I get preached at I have a nervous reaction – I do absolutely nothing and let them get away with it (You may call me weak-willed). It’s not that different to our beloved case mods really – maybe I could get my daughter into it as a way of geekifying her for later in life!

Development of the English language
Things move on… times change – I’m a keen believer in evolution. However, one thing that somewhat niggles me is the use of ‘Americanisticalized’ English by English people! Ever since our televisions project more American sit-coms into our living rooms than all English programs put together we have a new generation of kids saying ‘burglarize’, ‘deplane’ and ‘obligated’! What’s wrong with good old burgle, alight and obliged? We’ve been using these words for centuries – why change now? However, there is one thing I will say in the defence of apparent ‘Americanistalizationisms’ – they use the word gotten and we Brits don’t when we should. So I guess there are somethings we should learn from our cousins over the pond.

I’ll stress that it wasn’t a complaint – it was just a query.
