Rock, Paper, Scissors seals huge business deal

When Tashi Hashiyama wanted to sell of his art collection recently, he was faced with the dilemma of choosing between Christie’s and Sotheby’s auction houses. He solved this in a way that we should probably use to decide our poitical elections – Rock, Paper, Scissors.

I’m won’t take the p155 because I’d do exactly the… wait a minute… yes I will – they’re being paid to be there! Hey everyone, look at the big nancy-boys who are frightened of footballs! *snigger*

How to distract someone

Guaranteed way to put someone off their driving is to flash your n0rks at them as they drive past. This is a little more scarey when they are travelling at 100mph

Proper tackling

Great sequence of clips illustrating the more savage end of rugby tackles. If there are any Americans currently reading, Rubgy is kind of like your football… except with only 1 break every hour and a half, higher speeds, in worse weather and the only armour is a strip of ‘duct’ tape to stop your ears from getting ripped off.

The Breast Cancer Site : Fund Mammograms for Free

OK, this is neither funny nor gross… however, you can make yourself feel good today by going to The Breast Cancer Site and clicking the pink button marked ‘fund free mammograms’. You get forwarded to a page full of sponsors who pay for their advert to be completely ignored by people like you and me. You see banners with every click on t’interweb so one or two more won’t hurt… go on.. do your bit!

Watch out for dangerous hax0rs

The internet is a mad, bad, dangerous place to be, you need to watch out for Dangerous Hackers out there. Although you should be safe from completely clueless idiots like this one.

Just so you get it – the ip address 127.0.0.1 always refers to your own computer – it’s known as a loopback)

modern toss makes it onto TV!

modern toss is a highly offensive comic strip and animation series that’s run in such unusual places as the Guardian newspaper and Bizarre magazine. I’m not sure how they’ve managed to get such blatant swearing past the censors but it’s coming to Channel4 in the UK on May 10th – set your videos/tivo/pvr/recordable dvd/whatever.

Darth Vader Lawn Sprinkler

I’d thought about running a series on the most ridiculous Star Wars movie merchandise that we could find but there’s no point – any competition would be won by the Darth Vader Lawn Sprinkler. Unless anyone else has anything more bizarre/pointless? (Other movies also acceptable – see the Darth Vader wrestling buddy or this list of Star Wars sh1te for more examples).

Spoof Election Ads – Brilliant!

Channel 4 news asked the guys who produced the classic (unofficial and very much unapproved) VW suicide bomber ad to produce 3 spoof ads for the main parties: The Liberal Democrat and Conservative ones are superb, The Labour one is going to be released tonight I presume after it’s aired on TV. *Edit* See update below.
Watch the Labour ad
Watch the Tory ad.
Watch the Lib Dem ad.
thanks Carl
*UPDATE* Labour one is now live as well.

MRSA cross-contamination boob

After adorning the country with billboard posters asking the public “How hard can it be to keep a hospital clean?”, the Conservative leader, Mr. Michael Howard, was caught potentially spreading the deadly MRSA bacteria through a hospital ward earlier today. Mr. Howard failed to observe basic hygiene protocols by neglecting to wash his hands between political handshakes. Mr. Howard later commented he was “mortified” at the faux pas. Solomon Hightower, Pri.me.uk (with a keen sense of irony).

Tuds 2005

I’m guessing this site is someones photojournal of their birthday but I admit to being a little confused… is she a mannequin? Does she have some form of facial paralysis? Did the wind change direction when she was young? Either way, the lack of variety of facial expressions becomes rather spooky after the first few images… Behold

YetiSports – new game online

I almost forgot to blog this one! There’s a new episode/game in the Yeti Olympics Around the World Tour out now. Part 8, Jungle Swing is another brilliant little game for you to play (unfortunately, you do now have to register (for free) to access the site but it’s worth it for these classic games. As per usual, it takes a few quick goes before you get the knack.

The same coders responsible for the Yeti games have also just brought out another game as a promotion for the Ice Hockey Tournament of Superstars for your delectation.

We’ve got a lot of readers in Leeds so this is a public service announcement for those people (& ‘our kid’ – hi mate, I’ve still got your birthday present here – only a month late so far!).
Hayseed Dixie are coming to the UK in July!
Whoo and indeed Hoo!
