PSPDrive

How’s this for a nifty idea? Simply plug yoru PSP into a USB socket on your pc as normal, visit PSPDrive, find some video on there that you want (pop videos, movie trailers etc) and click one button – it’ll detect the PSP and dowload the content straight to your handheld. Neat, eh? (There’s very little content so far but keep visiting – they are new).

The Last Supper (revisited)

After my post a week or so ago about versions of the Last Supper, I finally managed to track down a lot of the other versions I was talking about and here they are in one handy collection. Special bonus points go to this one for manageing to get Brian Bleesed and Domokun in one picture (must be a B3tan who did it!).

Gaming Consoles – a History

Interesting (and very simplified) chart showing the releative numbers of Games Console sales through the ages (well, in the last 25 years anyway).

One of these things

Is not like the others. Google image search for pillowfight. Usually our OOTTINLTO series features a unexpected, smutty image. This time, many of the images are smutty – but see if you can spot the incongruous one. Completely and utterly NSFW!! Actually, it might even be completely unsuitable for viewing under any circumstances. Don’t say I haven’t warned you!

Forum Overdose

This story about a guy who died from the effort of keeping up with too many forums must be a hoax. If it’s true then I guess it’s a bit late to say the guy needs to get a life!

(site is slow so here’s an alternate link)

It sounds too much like an Onion story but even though no-one has found his obituary, there is no mention of this on any of the hoax sites I frequent.

cheers Olly

The Gullibility Test: Science and Nature

I’m very, very ashamed to say that I only scored 6 out of 10 on this Science and Nature based Gullibility Test – for someone with a reputation of being extremely cynical and a bit of a hoaxbuster, this is a big disappointment – anyone else score higher?

The Black Smiths

Comedy band alert!!!

The Black Smiths were formed in Birmingchester – from the band’s names, can you tell what the yplay if I say that the singer is called ‘Ozzissey Morrisbourne’? Yup – it’s a Smiths cover band who play in the style of Black Sabbath!

iGuy – a friend for your iPod

How cool is this? I don’t even own an iPod (I’d rather have a proper mp3 player) but the iGuy is so cute. Doubt it’ll still fit in your pocket if it’s wearing an iGuy though.

This rather cool hifi and speaker set reminds me of a love child of the classic Honda robot and Robbie from Forbidden Planet.

Abusing Amazon images

This is a great article on how to Abuse Amazon images. It’s more of a dissection of how the Amazon urls work and how you can manipulate them. This should be a must-read for budding web developers (and design terrorists).

TYPEDRAWiNG

Typedrawing – the site where a picture can actually be a thousand words. Siply type in some text then draw onscreen with your words. Lovely idea and brilliantly done.

The Uniform Server

Kudos to Takasho for pointing me to The Uniform Server – it’s a everything you need for a web server in one tiny package. The download is 3.5Mb and when you extract it, it expands to 15Mb, doesn’t put anything in your registry (so it can run from a memory stick) and contains Apache, MySql, PHP, Perl – everything you need to setup a web server (or use to learn how to do it). Excellent project!

forget-me-not panties

I know it’s a spoof but these forget-me-not panties (with sensatech technology) are too good to not blog. Keep an eye on your wife’s movements with the built-in GPS transmitter – it’s the modern chastity belt!

Cybernetic parrot sausage

How marvellously pointless and random. Paul Granjon must have been on soemthing strong when he decided to gouge out the insides of a bratwurst and replace them with the guts of a talking parrot toy to make the Cybernetic parrot sausage. Watch the video and I defy you not to say “WTF!” whilst watching it. Very, very bizarre.

I know, I know – we’ve all seen it but it has been a while since it’s done the rounds. Besides, it’s still very funny! I particularly like the cat rugby tackling the unsuspecting dogs head near the end.

Petrol light sabre maiming

I can’t think of the words to describe this article the Beeb published today – surely there must have been a point, whilst acting a scene from ‘Star Wars Revenge of the Spack’, when they thought it wasn’t going to be such a clever idea or maybe it’s simply a case of more Darwin award contenders. 2 gold stars to the person who can find the video about which they are refering!

Dale Chihuly – Artist

I saw Dale Chihuly on the telly this morning – he’s a glass artist who is currently exhibiting at, of all places, Kew Gardens. Don’t know about you but I’m off to see it ASAP. At last a glass artist good enough to open a can of whoop-ass on Lalique.

I can’t remember whether we posted still images of this one some time ago but I have just stumbled across some footage of a couple of mad Koi carp with human faces. Very strange.
