£32,000 bottle of whisky quaffed in one night

Why didn’t this guy invite me and JC to this party? A ‘regular hotel guest’ pops and scoffs a malt, parts of which are up to 140 years old!

SA killer on crutches runs free

The perfect escape plan… spend 2 years pottering around on crutches in the vague hope that one day you’ll get someone who neglects to shackle you in leg irons so you can muscle up to those bars and “vooooom”!Ta Olz

3wish.com

Lovely bunch of short and sweet point-and-click games. Say buh-bye to the end of Thursday afternoon. I can’t figure out the one with the mouse though.

Fake mud

Just popping down to the supermarket to take up 3 parking spaces? Just nipping off on the school run to squash half a dozen kids with your completely unnecessary bullbars? Why not look as if you actually use your ludicrously excessive 4×4 and cover it in Spray on mud so you have less to be embarrassed of in this increasingly anti-off-roader society. (Hmm.. did that come across as a little negative??)

Stuff On My Cat

Feline humiliation is a fantastic pastime! I’ve got a cat at home who is proper stuck up – I regularly enjoy dangling him over my head, putting socks on him and other embarrassing activities. Imagine my rapture when I found a site dedidcated to putting Stuff On My Cat! I am now going to rush home and photograph my cat covered in marmalade and spagetti!

Free online Favicon Icon Drawing Program

Sorting out a favicon can be a pain because most drawing packages don’t support .ico formats and most packages that support .ico formats cost money! outrageous that people expect you to pay for their hard work! Anyway the nice people here have made an online, web based package that does it all for you. It’s a little clunky but once you figure it out it’s pretty nifty. You do need to use a proper browser like Firefox for it to work.

Dave Devries’s Monster Engine

What would kids come up with if they could draw with the integrity of a grown up and keep the imagination and naivity of a kid? Well, their work would probably look a little like really lovely work you can find at Dave Devries’s Monster Engine.

Stacks of somewhat clever optical illusions. I know we’ve blogged things like this before but there really are loads here and some of these are rather clever. I am particularly keen on this one.

Origami Yoda

I like origami but (don’t shoot me) hate Star Wars. However, I’m sure there might be one or two people out there who actually like it (weirdos). So just for you here’s origami Yoda. Insert humouous ‘Yodaism’ here. Link to pdf in Spanish… the pdf, not the link.

Rock On, Rock ON

It’s a shame JC isn’t here – he’d be able to hoaxbust (aka killjoy) this link. This guy, Bill Dan, balances rocks on other rocks. Looks cool but a little bit of me doubts this is possible with the degree of accuracy success that he displays. Even the video clip leaves questions unanswered. Other rock balancing goes on here, here and here. What do you reckon?

Buh-Bye

Well, I’m off for a week’s holiday and will have no internet access for a week (dreading the cold turkey :( ). I’ll leave you all in the (mostly) capable hands of Solomon – be nice to him and leave plenty of comments for him (he always seems to get more comments when I’m away, grr!). Oh and don’t forget, you only have 8 dyas from today left to sign up for Funjunkie’s Summer Burn so what are you waiting for?

Learn to Dance with Napoleon Dynamite

As a big fan of last year’s Napoleon Dynamite movie, I just love this Learn to Dance with Napoleon Dynamite flash widget. Even people who haven’t seen the movie will find this funny but it does take a while to load up so read the imdb pages while you’re waiting.

42 Games

A Quark of games? A Zaphod of games? A Babel of games?

I’m not sure what you call a collection of 42 (naturally) HitchHikers Games. They’re all tiny, simple games in the WarioWare style but it would be good to be able to save otherwise you have to start from the beginning every time.

Japan unveils “robot suit” that enhances human power

They say it “helps elderly or handicapped people to walk”. Hhhyeah, right… is that really what they had in mind when they developed this monstrosity? I doubt it! I think they were developing ROBOCOP! I’m skeerd!

Bagpipes

Bagpipes are fab. Seriously. and here’s a couple of bagpipe links to prove it. Firstly, a band I discovered some years ago who certainly stand out in a crowd by mixing bagpipes (of all varieties) with kick4ss samba riddums, MacUmba. Secondly, piper-politics come into play when Ryofu the piper needs to employ bodyguards to protect her from marauding bagpipe purists who have taken offense to her particular brand of heavy metal piping!
