Porcu-pined Pitbull

Pitbull attacks porcupine. The end result isn’t pretty (but why I am becoming more obsessed with how awful the owner’s shoes are?).

Model Vs Photographer

I like the idea of revenge behind the MidbrowArt Model Vs Photographer series of Terry Donovan’s images. NSFW and you have to take the male with the female – that’s the point.

Needled

Specialist blogs are a big favourite of mine and Needled is the latest fine example that I’d like to share with you. It’s a blog about the art of tattooing, on skin and on canvas. More than that though, it also covers the culture, politics, and laws affecting tattoo art and is not afraid to use big words. Even if you’re not a tattoo afficiando you should find something in here that you like.

Movie and Music Fonts

We’ve not had a font post for a while now so here’s a decent list of Themed Movie and Music Fonts for free download. I’m loving the Atari, Galaxy Quest, Pacman & GTA ones in particular.

swanksigns – dedicated to the art of mocking public works

Some superb examples of the stupid or unintentionally hilariouspublic signs that can be found around the world.

GALVANIZE!

GALVANIZE! is a game on the chemical brothers website based on their song of the same name – it’s every bit as weird as the song too.

To the BatCave!

Remember when Batman wasn’t all mean and moody. Biff! Bang! Pow!

Recreate those halcyon days in your own living room by buying a Shakespeare Bust with flip-up head concealing a button to access the BatCave (I guess you have to provide your own BatCave though) just like in the original tv series.

PMSL: Microsoft “Genuine Advantage” cracked in 24h

Funniest news of the week – it seems that the new Microsoft “Genuine Advantage” scheme that forces users to submit a serial number when trying to get updates from the MS site has been cracked in less than 24hours by a simple line of Javascript.

Cooking with Einsturzende Neuwhatever

I know some of our readers are fans of alternative band Einstürzende Neubauten (think I spelt it right – I normally just start saying it and kinda drift off towards the end in the vague hope that whoever I’m talking to knows what I’m saying and won’t ask me to repeat the name louder but can’t really do that when I’m typing it!). Fans will already appreciate that they’re not your normal run of the mill band but even their fans are a bit different – they have their own Vegetarian recipe site!

Build your own Lightsaber

You’re not a Jedi until you’ve built your own lightsaber. This page will show you how.

Once you’ve done that then why not attempt some other Star Wars weapons?

Stuck On You

Very interesting viral marketing campaign from loctite – they’ve stuck a monitor to a wall with their glue and aimed a webcam at it. You can type messages in and see them displayed on the screen. So far the vdu has been there for 57 days and the glue is holding strong – you can have hours of fun trying to bypass the swear filters and display rude words on the screen.

Blindfold Rubiks Cube

I used to be able to do the cube! No Really, I did… and once I did it in about 45 seconds! However, that was by inadvertantly memorising a ‘how to’ book (because I’d been through it too many times) and the faces just came together by luck. This guy, however is something else altogether. Just watch it! (Courtest of Fazed)

Egg and Muffin Toaster

Our American cousins don’t normally have such an item as a toaster – grills seem to be the usual method for toasting bread but you can get toasters there – even some odd ones like the Egg and Muffin all-in-one Toaster. Bizarre!

Caught Red-Handed (well, kinda)

I love this mugshot of the 41yr old It Patrick Tribett who was arrested for glue sniffing (or ‘solvent huffing’). The evidence speaks for itself unless he was auditioning for a remake of Goldfinger!
