Sesame Street’s original Mah-Nah-Mah-Nah

For no other reason than I fancied hearing this again, here’s the original Sesame Street Version of the Mah-Nah-Mah-Nah song. Something you might not know is that the tune was originally written by Piero Umiliani for a pr0n documentary in Sweden!

Andrew, if you’re reading this then I expect you to beat this or at least get some inspiration for your own version.

Spamusement

Spamusement is a collection of, in their own words, poorly drawn cartoons inspired by actual spam emails. Some classics in there.

Jump In the Hoff’s Car

Everytime I thik I’m getting a bit bored of the net’s addiction to David Hasselhoff, he goes and does soemthing that has to be posted. Jump In My Car is his new video, it features KITT as the eponymous car, Hoff as the devil and some appalling special effects while he sleazes his way through a triumvirate of lovely ladies.

Morgan Freeman (or is it Jimi Hendrix – dig the hair!) as Easy Reader in 1970′s American kids program ‘The Electric Company’. Can’t see that being shown on tv these days.

Really funny column on giving advice to Great Photographers on the Internet. I laughed out loud reading him tell Henri Cartier-Besson that his auto-focus had focused on the wrong bit of the image.

ZWOK

ZWOK‘s a great little worms rip-off/tribute for the Playstation but the best bit is being able to play online against other people with too much free time.

Gliffy – Draw and share diagrams online

Gliffy is a good idea done well. It’s another web 2.0 site that allows you to draw and collaborate on pictures online – kind of like a web-based Visio lite.

Jet-powered bicycle

Eat your heart out Sir Clive Sinclair, you’ve got nothing on the Jet-powered bicycle. I still haven’t worked out how you stop or how confident you’d have to be that it wouldn’t fall apart when you’re shooting down the highway overtaking sports cars but who cares when it looks like that much fun!

What the Hell Do You Want?

Just got back from work, settling in for the evening, in the privacy of your home, safe in the knowledge that you aren’t going to have to deal with any more cr4p until tomorrow. The phone rings… “Hello is that Mr. Hightower? I’m calling from…”, blood boils, heart rate escalates, there’s a million things to say to the underpaid low-life automaton who has just invaded your privacy, the most polite of which still involves a string of foul-mouthed obscenities. You open your mouth only to find you emit nothing more than a polite smattering of fumbled syllables as you suggest to the caller that you are ‘really busy’ and perhaps they should ‘call back another time’. How you wish you could launch into such an unrelenting torrent of rather eloquent agression as this chap.. This video requires speakers for full effect and is NSFW (although I cannot believe that there’e a boss in this country who does not appreciate the sentiment). Oh, and the page is covered in t1tty banners.

electric sheep

I’m sure I’ve posted this before but a couple of regular readers say that they haven’t seen it beofre so just in case…
the electric sheep screen-saver is probably one of the best that I’ve seen so far. It works on mulitple monitors and downloads new ‘sheep’ via bitorrent while the saver is in action (don’t worry, there’s nothing technical to worry about). It’s very hypnotic and rather beautiful.

Speaking of unsightly hair, regular contributor Kim has sent me a link to NoScruf.org, the National Organization of Social Crusaders Repulsed by Unshaven Faces. I should probably point out at this stage that, as a goatee wearer, I am deeply offended by this site and all it stands for.

Pimp That Snack – Al Style

One of our original contributors to this site and all round good guy, Al has submitted one of my favourite articles to the classic Pimp That Snack site. His ‘Mootated Milk Biscuit’ is almost perfect – it was a group effort utilising friends and kids, the design was scientifically accurate and all details were present and correct.
Good job fella!
