Moo is the business
Moo is damn cool. They print 100 half size business cards on nice satin card using images from your Flickr account for £9.99. The best thing is you can have 100 different images on the cards with your own personalised contact details on the reverse.
Korean Sex Theme Park
I’m taking a wild guess here but I reckon this Korean Sex Theme Park (LSFW) is in South Korea, not the North!
Useful London Pedestrian Maps
The ubiquitous design classic that is the London Tube Map is great for most purposes but is terrible if you’re going on foot as it bears no relation to real distances or locations. A couple of useful pedestrian maps can be found here and here for those southern-bound.

Fingerprinting 5 yr olds
I’ve just heard from my friend Imran that his 5 year old nephew has been told by his school that he’s to be fingerprinted. Yep, that’s fingerprinting a 5 year old child for a library card! The letter from the school says that this is fine as the system is not networked and complies with the Data Protection Act. As if that matters one jot. My children will be starting school in the next few years & I’ve already told my wife to prepare for a battle when we come across this situation – no child of mine is ever going to be brought up to accept that’s it’s normal to give away their fingerprints or any other form of identity regardless of the supposed innocence of the purpose. I’m very sympathetic of Taz’s dilemma – no child wants to be the odd one out and earmarked as different but it’s hard to stand for principles when most people don’t understand the implications or are willing to give away so much of their identity freely. I’d suggest that Taz tries to get some advice from the net – a great resource is this pdf on how to win arguements about identity cards much of which is applicable here. Good luck Taz!
*Edit* Another couple of very useful resources
Am I really that blind?
I’m speechless, after posting that previous story about a cannabis farm a few hundred metres from my house, I went looking for more details only to find that another bust happened 3 weeks ago a few metres from my house and I knew nothing about it. That’s two major farms within 2 minutes walking distance and no-one told me. Pah!
This had nothing to do with me
Just for the record, although this happened very near to me, it had absolutely nothing to do with me but I notice that Popcorn’s been quiet recently. Or maybe the fact that Howard Marks now lives less than 3 miles from Headingley might have something to do with it (I can actually see his apartment from my office window and see him quite regularly in this bar – seems a very friendly chap!).
Late for Work?
Late for work? Better get your skis on then!

Especially for Al, the Sesame Street broken ukulele sketch.

Some lovely examples of the Right angle Photography (from the same site that gave us the unique trees).
Free the Birds
Damn, these cockatoos are pretty smart.

Epic
I’ve just got tickets for this show (blimey, non-mainstream entertainment hits Norfolk) and just have to tell you all about the act that has everything* Taylor Mac. Make sure you watch “the Palace of the End” video.
*For values where everything = Ukulele Drag queen playing rather wonderful, sad and funny songs.
Cornelius Live Dates
Further to our recent post telling our US readers to go and see the genius that is Cornelius, a couple of UK gigs have now been lined up. I’m trying to get a ticket for the gig at KOKO in London but the even more adventurous can see him in the superlative mini-festival All Tomorrow’s Parties (which takes place in a Butlins holiday camp – no, really, it’s awesome!). There are a few pri.me.uk heads going so let us know if anyone else is going to be there and I might even buy you a drink (although not at Koko prices!)
Flaming Lips, the Musical
How bizarre, West Wing writer Aaron Sorkin is apparently planning to stage a Broadway Musical based on the Flaming Lips. I’d actually really like to see this.
Have you met…
*snigger* I know, I know, I just can’t help being so immature.
What a difference 50 years makes
“The chief obstacle to the progress of the human race is the human race“. Don Marquis, poet, artist, newspaper columnist, humorist, playwright and author spoke these prescient words almost a century ago. This article on What a difference 50 years makes certainly shows how true this is.
Top 15 Unintentionally Funny Comic Book Panels
Yes, it is ripped off from Superdickery but that doesn’t make the Top 15 Unintentionally Funny Comic Book Panels any less funny.
Terminator vs Robocop
Some very nifty editing has finally brought together something sci-fi fans have wanted to see for a long time – Terminator vs Robocop. Even Predator makes an appearance. Part two is here and info on part 3 and other video mash-ups can be found onthe creator’s blog
thanks Bear

That should set your head spinning!
I might have posted this a few weeks ago – I certainly meant to but it made my head hurt so I have no ideea if this is a repost or not)
Fight Scene
Four minutes of the best unedited fight scene ever commited to celluloid. Behold.
Road to V > The Good Die Young
We’re very good to you lot, we spend all day posting interesting stuff for you to enjoy and never ask for anything in return – we have even resisted the ubiquitous google ads so there’s no spam, no adverts, just pure entertainment.
I mention this for no reason but if you did feel the slightest bit guilty or have even the tiniest desire to give something back then I’d ask you to go to this ‘Road to V Festival page for my friends The Good Die Young and, if you like their music, which I’m sure you will, rate them highly and vote so that they get picked to play at some of the largest festivals this summer. You can hear more of them on their myspace page – they’re fantastic live and the new songs and video are stunningly good, it’s just a shame I can’t share it all with you yet…
Snowboarding – near vertical
Just look at the helicopter landing for an idea of how incredible this snowboard run by Terje Haakonsen was. It’s simply stunning and probably completely idiotic but still…wow!
The Lancashire Hotpots
Today’s new favourite band (well, for the next 5 minutes anyway) are the Lancashire Hotpots with their geeky song from the wrong/right side of t’Peninnes, ‘The Firewall Song’.
Apologies to non Northern UK readers, not because you won’t understand this, just that you’re not from the North of Britain and therefore are disadvantaged in everything in life.
Rube and Heath would be so proud
How’s this for an astounding contraption, it just goes on and on – I wonder how long it took to create and how many c0ck-ups they had along the way.
Where the Hell are Matt’s Outtakes
I really, really love the Where the Hell is Matt website and Matt’s just posted some outtakes from his travels which are every bit as good as his normal video and you can also tell him where you are and he might come and dance with you. Puts a smile on my face each time I go to this site.
Cuca Brazuca
Oh man, Cuca Brazuca has made me extremely hungry and thirsty. It’s a blog run by a Brazilian chappy who demonstrates Brazilian cooking and drinking recipes – every one’s a goodie!
Sand Storm in Iraq
Now that’s a real Sand Storm (Iraq, April 2005). It’s kind of tsunami-like.
Politics + Stupidity + Religion
Intelligent Design = Politics + Stupidity + Religion. The only thing missing is Science.

Blocky Game
Want to waste five minutes? Go have a game of Blocky – it’s quite good and very simple.
The TARDIS MAME Console
Here at Prime Towers, we love a bit of Doctor Who (although many arguements abound about who the best Doc was until we realise quite how nerdy we’re being and then a pillow fight normally settles the arguement – Tom Baker wins every time) and we’re also big fans of MAME so imagine, if you will, our delight at seeing the TARDIS MAME Console. It’s a thing of beauty even if it does ignore the main attraction of the TARDIS, namely the amount of storage space inside.
A Night on the Tiles
I know bathroom tiles aren’t too glamourous a subject but since I will hopefully be moving house soon (when we actually find a house that someone will let us buy!) my mind is on things like this. I love the blobb tiles and the illusion tiles (top and bottom ones) on this page but the middle ‘pipe dreams’ ones seem crap to be honest but that’s the thing with taste – everyone’s is different.
