Justice DANCE video take 2

It annoyed me so much that I posted a link to the Justice DANCE video but the record company (or someone) keeps sending take-down notices out to stop people giving free advertising to the band that I had to get hold of a copy and re-post it. This version is a divx version that you can download (11Mb) and watch that’s hosted with me so it’ll stay up unless I get sent a take-down notice (and since I’ll be away for the next few days, you’ve got a while yet before I can remove it!).
Enjoy it and don’t forget, downloading music is killing the music industry (but it’s really good fun).

New Very Classy Perfume

This NSFW site sells a new cologne charmingly entitled – VULVA Original. It claims to have bottled the very essence of the v4gina (I thought the true scent of a woman was meant to be Chanel #5?). Still I know many people who smell like c*nts already so there must be a market for this classy product.

From the ‘Too much free time’ dept: I can honestly say that I hadn’t noticed the Futurama vs. Doctor Who comparisons before but they’re everywhere!

Japanese fooled in poodle scam

I wouldn’t have believed this story about Japanese people buying lambs thinking they were poodles if I hadn’t had the enlightening experience of taking some inner-city kids to the countryside when I was younger and realising that none of them knew what cows or sheep looked like – most of them had no concept that ‘meat’ came from animals which was very scary indeed (and most likely made a few converts to vegetarianism).

Where Have All The Leaders Gone?

The name Lee Iacocca isn’t one that I’ve been particularly aware of here in the UK apart from the odd mention in Doonesbury cartoon strips. He was known mainly as the very Republican ex-CEO of Chrysler which makes this extract from his new book Where Have All the Leaders Gone? all the more startling. It’s a very good read.

Helicopter High Voltage Cable Inspector

Is the Helicopter High Voltage Cable Inspector one of the bravest career choices? I love the quote at the end, “There’s only 3 things I’ve ever been afraid of, electricity, heights and women. And I’m married too”.

Tom Lehrer Video

This is the first video of Tom Lehrer I’ve come across so far – for such a well known humourist, he’s very camera-shy, but let’s face it, musicians don’t normally play at Maths lectures.

People banned from SNL

I suppose that, if you’ve been going as long as Saturday Night Live has, you’re bound to have had some bad guests on but I didn’t expect the list of People banned from SNL to be quite so large.
thanks KD

Lip Dub

I’m almost starting to prefer fan-made vids to the bland MTV poop that comes out these days . This overly exuberant version of Flagpole Sitta by Harvey Danger (a big favourite track of mine from a few years ago anyway) by the combined staff of Vimeo, Busted Tees, and College Humor is just brilliant.

The Rasterbator – now downloadable

Long-time readers will probably remember the awesomeness that is The Rasterbator. It’s a website that enables you to print huge-scale imags of any picture. We’ve put loads of these up around our office in the past for birthdays, pranks etc but I’m ecstatic to find out that you can now get a downloadable version and for that reason it’s worth a repeat posting.

WIID wii Mod Chip now availableM

I’m a bit behind the times it seems, I wasn’t aware that Wii Mod chips are already available. From what I’ve heard, the Wiid is the one to get at the moment but there’s also the WiiKey and the Cyclowiz too, all require some soldering talent but not only do you get the usual mod chip benefits of being able to back your expensive games up but you can also play GameCube games on the Wii with the modchip.

Justice – Dance Video

The new Justice video is beautiful eye candy – a simple idea done brilliantly. I’m not normally a fan of dance music but Justice never fail to please – if you don’t know it, check out their stonking remix of Simian’s We Are Your Friends (and turn the volume up to 11).
*EDIT* amended the first link to one that works.
*EDIT2* Bum, it’s gone again – all I can say is, keep an eye on the first link to see if someone puts a mirror up – I’ve checked my caches and can’t find it anywhere on my computer.
*EDIT 3* See this post for a d/loadable copy

Short CG steampunk movie about mechs in WWII, Nazi Robot Attack would make a very good game or tv series – it’s an exceptional piece of work by Marco Spitoni and his team.

CheatNeutral

As green as we are in prime towers, we’re still pretty skeptical about the whole carbon offsetting idea (pretty skeptical as in, we think it’s a huge pile of stinking compost that should be recycled as soon as possible – if you want to be green, don’t make the waste in the first place and certainly don’t feel smug that you’ve paid someone else to assuage your guilt). We do, however, think that the CheatNeutral scheme is far more workable. The idea is the same as for the carbon offsetting projects but this time it allows you to offset your romantic liaisons by pairing up with someone who is guarenteed to remain either single or monogamous.

FOXNews – could it get any worse?

Any right-minded, sane individual knows to steer clear of FoxNews if they want honest, unbiased reporting but honestly, this Did the Devil Make Him Do It? story about the Virginia Tech shootings made me sick to the stomach. I can’t believe hat they even quote from the president of a televangelist’s ‘university’.
If the shooter hadn’t killed himself then they’d have just given him his defence – ‘it wasn’t me, it was the devil what done it, honest guv’. Insanity piled upon insanity piled upon inanity (sic).

Bully White

As it says, there’s something surprisingly hot (and very funny) about a girl riding on a mechanical bull in slow motion set to Barry White. Maybe a new genre of slow-mo ‘Love Walrus’ videos will now be unleashed. Mind you, we already knew girls on bulls were sexy (LSFW).

Bizarre car crash

I can’t quite work out how this car crash happened and I’m certainly not going to make the same comment as everyone else I know who have seen it and thought fit to mention the sex of the driver (I value my cajones too much for that). Oh, and you only really need to watch the first 30 seconds or so – nothing much happens for the other few minutes.
