Blade Runner 25 years on

Most movies, especially sci-fi ones, don’t hold up well over time for look and feel/authenticity. Blade Runner certainly has though and on the 25th anniversary of the classic movie, Adam Savage, of MythBusters fame, agrees that ‘there are ways in which Blade Runner surpasses anything that’s been done since‘. Bear in mind that this comment comes from a man who’s worked on the special effects of Star Wars I & II, all the Matrix movies, AI and Terminator 3 (we’ll forgive him for the latter). If you’ve never seen it, go find it, if you have seen it, use this as an excuse to watch it again.

Definitely worth checkin out Mark Kermode’s documentary On The Edge of Blade Runner…and watch out for the special editions later this year with newly shot scenes of Joanna Cassidy :)

If it ever comes out. I’ve been waiting for it since it was announced over a year ago :(
