Slint play Spiderland
Intelligent music fans will probably want to check out the All Tomorrows Parties website to take note of two cracking gigs coming up – Slint playing Spiderland and Sonic Youth playing Daydream Nation. Which reminds me, I dug out this album the other day and spent the whole afternoon shouting along to ‘Thieves’ at work causing a few odd looks (nothing new there).
i think it’s kind of wrong since it’s fifteen years since spiderland was recommended to me by ray in eastern bloc records. equally i really wish there was a realistic chance that meant i could see it played live.
so instead it shouting “ding a dang dong dong dong ling long dingy a dingy dong a down” across the office instead. safe in the knowledge that nobody will even bat an eyelid 
I was at a party last weekend, and you could tell were were all old by 2 things: 1) We were all sitting on chairs, and 2) “Stigmata” came on the party shuffle laptop (!) and we all started tapping our feet until someone said “Do you realise this track is now 19 years old?” At which point the tapping stopped.
