The Biggest Drawing ever

This guy supposedly packed a briefcase with GPS systems and then gave DHL an exact itinerary. He tracked the case and made the biggest drawing in the world. If it’s true that is – I notice the domain is registered to a design house in Stockholm and I’m not the only skeptic. IT would be cool if it was real but what do you think?

This is a complete load of bullsh1t! Anyone who is a big enough geek to accurately record every flight he takes with GPS to learn about flight corridors, international borders and general aviation practice (And by this, I mean ME) would know that not one of the lines shown in the drawing looks realistic. That said, I reckon there would be a way to create some sort of image across the globe and DHL would be the perfect people to help out. If it’s possible to get GPS records from their entire fleet it shouldn’t be too hard to discard the ones you don’t want and come up with something of interest.

it’s conceptual art, darlinks.

i’m not so convinced of this. large parts of the planet don’t — deliberately — have flight paths. more so for commercial stuff.

i think you’d need to be a bill gates and hire a private jet…

yeah, it’s been outed as a fake since I originally posted it.
