UK Govn attempt to redefine freedom again
Any regular readers will be well aware of my very vocal distaste of the gradual erosion of freedoms, liberties and the ongoing attempts by the UK government to steal my identity. The latest one is the decision to start fingerprinting passengers at British airports whether they are boarding domestic or international flights. I’ve already given up on the idea of ever visiting America again due to my refusal to be treated like a criminal but I currently take about 10 domestic flights a year which will become very awkward when I refuse to be fingerprinted each time (and believe me I will refuse).

My fingerprints are already on file somewhere as I was the victim of a robbery and had them taken to “rule out” my prints from those of the intruder. I don’t believe for one second that my prints were removed from the database after the investigation was complete. Being “printed” at airports in this country or the US doesn’t bother me anywhere near as much as the introduction of ID Cards which is open to much wider abuse.
