Mini Monster Trucks

We’ve posted lots of tilt shift photographs before (you know, where you make things look like tiny models) but here’s an amazing use of the technique done on HD video with frames removed to make this Monster Truck Rally look like a cartoon.

Auditorium

Auditorium is a pretty unique mix of puzzle game and music play. I won’t give anything away, it’s one of those ones that it’s best to just dive in and play – you’ll pick it up pretty quicker – you’re aiming to fill the bars, that’s all. (needs Flash 10 but you should have upgraded by now)

The Slegoon

The Slegoon isn’t just a toboggan with attitude, it’s a sledge with a roll-cage and looks like it should have been in a James Bond movie. Want one.

Rockin’ the Spreadsheets

Old time rockers ”’AC/DC”’ have released the video for their latest single ‘Rock n roll train in an unusual format – an Excel Spreadsheet! It’s not the whole track and you’ll have to enable macros to get it to work but it’s certainly a novel way of pushing music (and their new album is surprisingly good!) and in these cynical times full marks for innovation (and using ASCII). If you can’t be bothered then check it out on youtube.

Lets go LocoRoco

It’s time to dust off yer PSP’s as LocoRoco 2 is out and if you don’t know what I’m on about then have a go at the Official Flash Minigame. Also if you’re of the PSP way, then Buzz brain bender is worth checking out too. Apparently I have the equivalent mental agility of an electric toothbrush – which I actually thought was generous.

Doom 1 in browser

Someone has finally got round to turning ”’Doom”’ into a flash game that you can play in your browser. ??I used to be able to play the first two levels with my eyes closed. Sadly that’s no longer true.

Zahada

You’ll hate me for this but Zahada is another of those irritating quizzes where the answer is the url of the next question. I know we’ve posted plenty of these before but what I like about this one is that, although it’s tricky, it’s not as hard as most of them and I’ve found that each time I’ve got stuck, I’ve been able to rattle through the next couple of questions quite quickly. I’m on level 23 so far (but have been for about 10 mins now).
I’ll post a site that has some hints in the comments (no answers, just hints)

Spider saga continues

In an attempt to stretch the meme as far as one can be stretched, the drawing of the 7-legged spider that we posted last week has gone several stages further. Firstly, the original drawing was supposedly sold on ebay, then the winnerrefused to pay for drawing but all is well, and you can now buy a copy for yourself and also a santa hat for your drawing.

Chicken Head

This video is a really good demonstration of Chicken Head Tracking – basically how well a chicken can keep its body moving in relation to where it’s head is. It sounds dull but watch the video and you’ll soon see quite how cool this actually is.

Eli ”Paperboy” Reed

I think we posted about the stunning voice that is Eli Paperboy Reed and his band The True Loves a week or so ago. I’m off to see them next week in a tiny club near me which should be a great night (especially as I’m off to a Burlesque evening straight after the gig!). If you’re interested to see why I’m excited about the gig then check out this performance filmed in Amsterdam a few months ago – Eli “Paperboy” Reed Concert in Paradiso.

BNP Membership List: Analysis of Legal Position for Blogs

Wow – within two minutes of putting up my last post with the details of the BNP membership list I was sent warnings from concerned readers. I am aware of the Analysis of Legal Position for Blogs. I am not in a position to verify the validity of the list but I am also aware that since over 24hrs have passed since the list was made public, it has been published many times already and is now in the public domain. I would not expect anyone to take any actions concerning the people on this list without validating and verifying it 100% first – I certainly wouldn’t trust any information that came by way of a BNP supporter!
If I receive a polite request from a lawyer to remove the links to the list then I will probably comply as long as they give me valid legal justification for doing so. I am not a lawyer and thus am not fully aware of the law surrounding libel, I am merely pointing people to publicly available information that is highly topical and newsworthy.

Leaked BNP Members List

In case anyone is looking for the recently leaked membership list for the ”’British National Party”’ then you might want to have a look here or here. My views on these hate-mongering wastes of air are fairly obvious to anyone who has met me or reads this blog. Oh, and in case you’re wondering, releasing this information does sit happily with my stance on privacy but thank you very much for your concern – a paid up member of the BNP is someone who has made a conscious decision to disobey the laws of this country by spreading hate, fear and misinformation and as you can see from the many reports of this leak, there are many jobs for which being a member of this ‘political’ party is illegal such as the police and armed forces – the names on here of those people in such jobs indicate that these people have lied to their employers by not declaring their membership. Finally, if you are an employer then I’d suggest having a look over the list as part of your employment procedures just to be sure. I was very disheartened to see that my district has highest numbers of members in the country, I hadn’t realised that many hateful people lived so close to me.
I’m definitely absolutely NOT hosting an excel version in case anyone has real trouble finding this info elsewhere.
