Amanda Palmer – Leeds United (again)
I know I keep banging on about her but I find something wonderfully incongruous about seeing a combination of beautiful people, ”’Busby Berkeley”’ dancing, drag queens and my local football team hooligans in the excellent video for Amanda Palmer’s Leeds United – this was easily in my top 5 songs of last year and it’s great to see a video to match.
I didn’t know that!
I was aware that Amanda was extremely displeased with the record company because all of her music videos had been taken off youtube after the failure of youtube and Warner music to come to an agreement over music (something that is sounding a death knoll for youtube unless it gets sorted quickly) – since her record label is a subsidary of Warners. they’ve removed all of her music even though it’s there with her full permission.
The music industry wonders why it’s in trouble!
