On First Glance…
On first glance this is a video of a successful jewellery store robbery in London, then you see the second angle and then the third – it’s the cctv footage that just keeps on giving. (I didn’t know ”’the Stig”’ had brothers!).
Generational Reference Chart
About 97% of this Generation Refeference Manual is absolutely spot on.
Goatse Hoodie
I’m sorely tempted to buy this Goatse Hoodie except it runs the risk of making me explain the design to my parents! (Who am I kidding, of course I’ll order one!)
*Edit – if you are interested then you might want to wait a bit – I’m having a nightmare trying to use the checkout on the site – it keeps changing the size I ordered and then giving me 404s when I try to go to the next step.
Time Travel Timeline
A beautiful Timeline of time travel in popular media.
Give Them Legs and We’re All Doomed
I posted a much earlier demonstration of the High-Speed Robot Hand a year or so ago but check out how it’s advanced in that time! As Bear points out, it would be great to see it do Bishops knife trick from Aliens.
Animated Stills
Even though they’re not really any different to old-skool animated gifs, I still love these pseudo 3d photos.
Amazon WTF
I’d totally forgotten that you could tag things in Amazon until Alan pointed it out again – here are the products tagged with wtf.
Playgrounder
Playgrounder is a new product blog focussed on kids stuff. It’s very similar to another old favourite of mine, Uncrate and I’d recommend a visit even if you don’t have kids just for some great things like this gorilla (I’d love one of these!).
The Angle of the Dangle
When erecting a statue it’s best to look at it from all angles in case the angle of the dangle brings a whole new aspect. The solution seems somewhat disarming too!
Meeblings
Meet the Meeblings, a race of cute almost lemming like creatures who you have to help home in this game using each meebling’s own special talents (I said they were Lemming-like didn’t I?).
*Edit – Ooh, there’s a Meeblings Sequel too.
Oi Pythagoras!
See mom, 4chan can be educational. (language NSFW).
Half Man Half Biscuit
I’ve got two reasons for posting about one of my all-time favourite bands, ”’Half Man Half Biscuit”’. Firstly, they’re playing a few more gigs this year which, as any fan will know, is a rarity and they’re playing in Leeds! Got my tickets already. Almost as cool (or more so, if you can’t get to the gigs), is the tale of when Dean Friedman met them following their (in)famous song”’The Bastard Son of Dean Friedman”’ and how Dean wrote a song called ‘Tale of a Baker’s Son’ about Nigel the Biscuits main man. I never knew that.
Boycott Scotland!
Following the release of the Lockerbie bomber on compassionate grounds a new Boycott Scotland! website has sprung up and I whole-heartedly approve of it’s message. All freedom fighters should visit the site and take heed of it’s message but don’t forget your irony filter.
Smaller Wall Wart
I like this design for a smaller UK Folding Plug System.
Dyson Does Escher
British uber-designer ”’James Dyson”’ has recreated ”’M.C.Escher””s Waterfall as a garden water feature but how does Dyson make water go uphill?
T-Shirt Round-up
Had a quick perusal of some of my regular t-shirt sites like teemagnet this morning and it reminded me to have another look at chopshop where I got my geeky Robots no follow tee. I’m sorely tempted by their Robot Rock tribute to ”’The Clash”’ and the new Filter Heroes tribute to Photoshop.
IF you do fancy a new tee yourself then don’t forget to check out tee-junction for discount coupons for loads of good t-shirt sites (just got 15% off my Chop Shop order).

God Save old Punks
I’ve been hibernating, but woke up to enjoy this
Encyclopedia – Wikipedia
Can you get more ”’meta”’ than looking up Encyclopedia on ”’wikipedia”’? Discuss.
I Hate My Hit
I always find it funny when bands have a huge hit that becomes a millstone around their necks. I Hate My Hit! 10 Songs Disowned by the People Who Made Them Famous lists at least one song that you love but will never hear played by these artists ever again. Personally the 8 on here that I’ve heard of are cracking tunes and as much as I have sympathy for the artists I think that they often forget that they wouldn’t have broken through to superstardom without those songs.
Making Money
Here’s a superb video of the various people involved in making ”’Pink Floyd””s classic track Money discussing the making of it.
Girls of eBay
Girls of eBay is one of those sites that feels like snooping where you shouldn’t. It’s innocent enough, it’s just photos taken from auctions mostly of people modelling the clothes that they’re selling, many of which they’ve made themselves but without any link to the original auction or other context, it feels very voyeuristic (but funny).
Urban Exploration of Mike Tyson’s Abandoned Mansion
Fascinating photos of Mike Tyson’s abandoned mansion. Here’s part 2 (both side-scrolling – took me a second to realise!)
cheers Pricey
C0cksucker Blues
”’Cocksucker Blues”’ is an infamous, as yet officially unreleased ”’Rolling Stones”’ documentary and whadda ya know, it’s on the interwebs – Part 1 is here (9 parts in total).
Beat Club
Old German music program ”’Beat Club”’ was a superb program back when it was on (before my time though). There’s now a website My Beat Club which has tons of live footage from the show, interestingly much of it shot abroad in the UK like The Ohio Players – Fire. I highly recommend MC5 – Kick Out The Jams, one of the many Ramones tracks, Eric Burdon & War – Spill The Wine, the Equals – Baby Come Back or Small Faces – Tin Soldier – I’m in heaven, I could go on all day. Hopefully they’ll keep on adding more songs as I know of some other excellent performances that aren’t up here yet like The Monks.
*Edit – how could I have missed a very early rare 3-piece Kraftwerk performance with drums and guitars!
The Top 500 Worst Passwords
Following on from the Guess the password quiz a few days ago, here’s the list of The Top 500 Worst Passwords of All Time (by worst, they mean most used and therefore most insecure). How many of your passwords are on this list?
Total Eclipse of the Flowchart
It’s been a while since we posted any songs recreated visually using charts but the Total Eclipse of the Flowchart is another winner.
Stupid Ropeless Skipping Rope
How retarded would you have to be to think that the Stupid Ropeless Jump Rope is a good idea?
