20 most bizarre Craigslist adverts
I only have one issue with headlines such as 20 most bizarre Craigslist adverts of all time and that is that these clearly aren’t the ‘best of all time’ but a good selection of printable ones. You can get many more at yousuckatcraigslist.
cheers KD
Major Design Flaw
The worst thing about this major design flaw is that it’s been around since I was a young boy and they still haven’t fixed it.
Elite 25 today
For those BBC micro and Acorn Electron owners who spent hours hooked on Elite – prepare to feel very old.

Apple Keynote in a cassetteboy stylee
Livebrush
I’m liking the look of the demo of Livebrush, a new design tool. I’m also impressed that it’s free or you can pay a mere $10 for the pro version which gives you the very useful vector export and hi-res ability.
I Can’t Hear It Drumming In The Air Tonight
I can never play the drums again, says Phil Collins. Shame eh?
It’s not all goodbad news though – Collins told fans: ‘Don’t worry, I can still sing’. Damn.
$150 Space Piccys
I want to build My own near space Photography kit hope the UK pricing is simmilar
Core77 Hack2Work
I’ve linked to Core77 numerous times in the past but it’s about time I did another one to point anyone with even a passing interest in design in their direction. If you do web design, print design or industrial design then pop over and find out how to make your clients logo bigger without actually making it any bigger or something as simple as how to organise your desk for more efficient working and less back pain.
Smithsonian Urban Legends
Until last week I knew very little about the ”’Smithsonian”’ Institution, thinking it was just a large museum. Mrs grom made me watch National Treasure 2 (not great but a whole lot better than the recent Indiana Jones movie) which centres around the Smithsonian and I learnt that it’s actually a huge complex of 19 museums, research facilities and a zoo much of which is connected by underground connecting passageways (unfortunately not quite as interesting as is made out in the National Treasure 2 or inNight at the Museum 2). It’s not surprising that after all this time a number of Urban Legends About the Smithsonian have sprung up (there are many more not included here too).
Stormtroopers’ 9/11
Something tells me that this should be in immensely bad taste but the Stormtroopers’ 9/11 is very ”’Kevin Smith”’-like.
Cat bites dog
This picture proves that animals communicate complex emotions via facial expressions. Look at the dogs face and you’ll clearly see terror, humiliation, pain and sheer panic as he fears he might of the ordering of the food chain very wrong.
Insane Prisoner Inventions
Everyone’s seen the ”’shivs”’ made in prisons but some of the other Prison Inventions are good examples of ingenuity.
Customers Who Bought This Item Also Bought…
Customers who bought this Aluminium Baseball Bat also bought…
I’m sure there’s an innocent explanati…oh who am I kidding!

UK Gov. Apologises to Alan Turing
Ok, so it’s a little too late but I’m still happy that the British government has finally apologised officially for it’s appalling treatment of ”’Alan Turing”’, now if it can use some of the conscience it’s shown to help fund ”’Bletchley Park”’ in his honour then I’ll be a happier chap.
Sends Shivers Down My Spine
If this performance of Elbow’s ‘Grounds For Divorce’ doesn’t send shivers down your spine then wait until about 3:15 for the massive orchestral rush provided by the ”’BBC Concert Orchestra”’ and the choir ”’Chantage”’.
If you want more then try ‘One Day Like This’ too. I’m off to buy the dvd.
Parabola Photography
Another photography trick I’ll have to try – making the kind of image using Parabolas that are normally only seen on old screensavers. Would be interesting to try a laser pointer too.
Neurosonics Audiomedical Labs Inc.
We’ve managed to sneak out some top secret footage from Neurosonics Audiomedical Labs Inc.. They’re doing some excellent research and development into the ”’Futurama”’ head/midi interface with stunning results.
(Ok, it’s the ”’Scratch Perverts”’))
Gnar Warsrding | Filmonic
Star Wars on Snowboards.

Rag Doll Cannon
Fire the Rag Doll from the cannon to hit the target.
Shell Shock Surfin’ Bird
This is a morality test – if you laugh at the Surfin’ Bird Shellshock Dancing then you’re going straight to hell – see you there! (original video of the effects of shellshock on WWI soldiers is here).
Monopoly meets Google MAps
Starting around 6pm tonight (GMT), Monopoly City Streets is an official version of ”’Monopoly”’ using Google Maps as the board (and APIs from our old friends Openstreetmap). The game will run until some time in 2010 and each player can buy any street in the world, collecting rent from any other players, sabotaging your friends by adding hazards to their streets, building hotels and bulldozing traps left by other players. Sounds excellent fun.
Rodrigo y Gabriela 11:11
Halfway through listening to the new Rodrigo y Gabriela album ’11:11′ and I can safely say that if you like frantic guitar flamenco then you’ll love this – it rocks. Now, someone get them to sit down with ”’Fleet Foxes”’ and make the album of the decade together!
