The Little Giantess Seeking The Big Giant
The breath-taking street performance troupe ”’Royal de Luxe”’ have just staged another performance in Berlin. The Berlin Reunion of the Big Giant (in deep sea diving suit) and his niece, The Little Giantess took in such sights as the Reichstag, The Brandenburg Gate, Friedrichstrasse, took 4 days and was seen by 1.5 million people – none of whom will forget it in a hurry. Video here.

Nobel Peace Prize awarded to Barack Obama
I’m very surprised but quite heartened to hear that Barack Obama has been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize – not bad for someone who’s been in office for less than a year so far!
Animals With Lightsabers
What do you call a mashup of a mashup? Doesn’t really matter when the result is as awesome as the self explanatory Animals With Lightsabers.
cheers Steve
Lost Again in La Mancha
One of my favourite books is ”’Don Quixote”’ and one of my favourite film directors is ”’Terry Gilliam”’ so I was originally over the moon to hear he was going to attempt to film the unfilmable. It all went horribly wrong and if you haven’t seen the almost ”’Spinal Tap”’ian documentary that was ”’Lost in La Mancha”’ then I highly recommend it – it should be required viewing for anyone who wants to work in movies.
Amazingly, Terry Gilliam Returns to La Mancha Next Spring to try again and I await the movie (or at the very least, the documentary showing how it didn’t get made) with bated breath.
Mystery Google
You must all have realised by now that we love utterly pointless websites here at Prime Towers and Mystery Google fulfils our requirements quite neatly – it’s a version of google that gives you the search results of the last person who used the site before you for instance, I just googled ‘onomatapoeia’ and got the results for ‘How to stop Hitler from reading your emails’. Seriously.
Avalanche
A quick warning, although this might be quite distressing to watch, there is a happy ending.
A skier dropped in to start a run and caused an avalanche, falling 1,500 feet in 20 seconds ending up completely buried whilst his POV Helmet Cam captured the whole thing including his very lucky rescue 4 minutes later. Hopefully you’ll never feel this claustrophobic again. Interestingly he had an Avalung but it seems to have been knocked out of his mouth. The shots of the guys digging him out are straight out of Hollywood.
Bill Shannon – The CrutchMaster
Many UK viewers will recognise ”’Bill Shannon”’ from a recent tv advert and figured his style of dancing on crutches was just a gimmick but Bill was born with a degenerative hip condition which led to him developing this style. He was spotted for the visa advert after his appearance in the ”’RJD2”’ video for Work It Out and you can see more of his work on the Bill Shannon Translations From Pavement DVD. (I’m sure there was a different version of the RJD2 video again with Bill but I can’t find it – can anyone help?).
*Edit* Found the alternate version on Bill’s own rather great site.
Radiohead vs Dave Brubeck Mashup
This mashup of Radiohead vs Dave Brubeck is full of win.
Don’t Judge My Hair
Have we posted Don’t Judge My Hair before? I think I’ve had approximately 30% of the male haircuts featured (and probably 10% of the female ones) so I probably shouldn’t mock too much.
(Looks best using Firefox and the Autopager extension).
Scribblenauts Rocks
If you have a Nintendo DS, get a copy of Scribblenauts today. It’s one of the most innovative and mind blowing games I’ve played. Seriously, it’s hard to describe without seeing it but this is a decent summary.
What Scientologists Say About Scientology
One of the people in this What Scientologists Say About Scientology is not really a scientologist – see if you can spot which one (clue – he’s the only one talking any sense). Funny stuff from Daveo Mathias.
Tetris Recreated by Skateboarders
36 skateboarders riding down a street with what looks like ”EL wire”’ on their heads recreate Tetris. Rather pretty.
1970′s jamming toy
The Silverstar ORP-1803 which stands for Organ, Radio Phonograph let you jam along with your favourite records and when you got sick of those you could play along with it’s built in radio.

How a sewing machine works
I think the last time I was this fascinated by an animated gif it weighed in at 40k and I’d waited a whole day for it to download.
Deconstructed Star Wars poster
Graphic Nothing has managed to strip the Star Wars story down to three shapes and three words as part of his minimalist movie poster set.
