Installing iTunes 10 Without Bloatware

Now that my new work phone has arrived I have discovered something that won’t surprise anyone in teh world except me – apparently you need itunes installed to even get the f**king iphone working! I know you need it for apps and stuff but just to get the phone to make a call?!?! However, I have found the unofficial guide to installing iTunes 10 without bloatware so I don’t have to poison my system with Quicktime or any other sh1te I don’t need. Wonder if I can run it on linux?
