VLC for iPhone
Woo and indeed Yay! Just been playing with VLC for iPhone and it rocks! If you haven’t used VLC before, it works on most platforms (Mac, Windows, Linux etc) and you can throw pretty much any video made with any codec and it will play, even if the files are corrupted. It works beautifully on the iPhone too now, just allow the app to fileshare in iTunes and then drop any video onto it and it will play. No more having to convert movies to watch them on the go.
Yes – it is a work phone (hardly surprising if you know who I work for!)
I also have a personal phone which is an Orange San Francisco/ZTE Blade (unlocked to any network) which is my Android development phone.
The iphone costs about £500, the android phone cost £99 and is superb – I’d buy 5 of those phones instead of one iphone if it was all my money! The San Francisco has large touchscreen, gps, radio – everything the iphone has.
Having said that, the iphone is good but isn’t £400 worth better.

are you admitting to owning an iphone? will you use the ‘its a works phone ‘ ploy?
