The Urbex Holy Grail Mail Rail
I’ve read the stories, I’ve seen the plans and I’ve heard the rumours but I’ve never seen any modern photos of the Urban Explorers Holy Grail – London’s secret underground 23 mile long Royal Mail train system which ran from 1928 to 2003. As far as I know no -one had managed to crack it and get in for a full exploration…
Until now – sit back and enjoy The Post Office Railway (Mail Rail).
Marco On The Bass
Really loving the ska, 2tone, reggae, soul and rocksteady blog Marco On The Bass. I’ve just spent a very pleasurable 2 hours randomly going through bits of it, reading his very well written and researched articles and watching the supporting youtube videos. I don’t honestly find that many new blogs of interest these days (maybe I’m just a bit jaded) but this one was right up my street. Even if it’s not your kind of music it’s still a very good read indeed. Kudos Marco.
Emergency and Disaster Information Service
I don’t think it’s too morbid to say that I find it fascinating to check out the Emergency and Disaster Information Service interactive map regularly. As long as none of the events affect me that is. It is a really good tool to see what is happening in the world from outbreaks of meningitis to flash floods or building collapsing. Very thought-provoking indeed.
Just Look at Those F’in Boots
I was sent this video of Mexican Pointy Boots with the heading I used above – pretty much sums up this weird South American hipster fashion trend.
cheers Kim
Shark Poop!
Have a gif of a shark pooping – I’m having that sort of day.
Slice HD will hurt your fingers
In Slice HD you manipulate knives, stabbing instruments, and razors in order to hit the red button. Sometimes the objects move in ways you don’t expect, and in other levels moving one piece triggers something else. It looks nerve-wracking, and not one for those with a fear of blood or sharps!
Simple Guide to Photography
A Redditor named geft has put together this rather brilliant simple guide to photography.
The Problem with Jeggings
More and more I’m seeing girls wearing those appalling ‘jeggings’ these days. They always remind me of the Problem with Jeggings sketch.
Maneggs
Maneggs is a webcomic I’ve been meaning to post for a while – it’s got the bizarro quality of the Perry Bible Fellowship.
LoofLirpa
It’s that time of the year again and ThinkGeek have their usual selection of spoof products including Angry Birds green Pork Scratchings, an edible iPhone case and a Minecraft USB Desktop Nether Portal. The game is to spot which prank products will actually end up being made much like the previous Canned Unicorn Meat and Tauntaun sleeping bag.
